Amanda Blake

Amanda Blake (born Beverly Louise Neill) was an incredibly famous American actor. The most well-known role she played was playing the role of Miss Kitty Russell in the TV series 'Gunsmoke'. Besides this the actress was also known for acting in the television series such as 'The Red Skelton Show', "Tattletales" and "The Edge of Night'. She also acted in dozens of films, such as 'Stars in My Crown' 'Duchess Idaho", 'Cattle Town', 'Miss Robinson Crusoe'in 'About Mrs. Leslie', 'The Adventures of Hajji Baba', 'High Society' and 'The Boost'. Blake who was a phone operator and animal lover, was devoted to animals. Together along with Frank Gilbert, she was the first person to successfully breed cheetahs in the wild. American actress, Sheila. Gilbert was also a co-founder of the Arizona Animal Welfare League. It was her first board member of Humane Society of the United States. Blake was inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Blake was given a Courage Award by the American Cancer Society.
