Rosie Perez

KimRosie Perez, born Rosa Maria Perez June 6 1964 is an American actress and choreographer. Her breakout role as Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez's performance in Fearless (1993) brought her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress along with other honors. Perez has appeared in a variety of films since that time and has appeared in films such as It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado ((2000), Pineapple Express (2008) and Birds of Prey (2021). She was nominated for three Primetime Emmy Award nominations, one for In Living Color (1990-1994) and another for her role as The Flight Attendant (2020-2021). She has also been in Broadway productions, including The Ritz and Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune and Fish in the Dark. In the 18th season, she was also a cohost on ABC's talk program The View. She attended Grover Cleveland High School, in the Ridgewood neighborhood in Queens. [11] In 1999 her mother was living in poverty in Woodside Houses when she died from AIDS-related complications.
